Financial Support Provided by the Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarship covers the course fees at Oxford University and provides an annual stipend. For the academic year 2022/23, the stipend amounts to £18,180 per year (£1,515 monthly), which Scholars must use to cover all living expenses, including accommodation. However, it is important to note that this stipend is not sufficient to support partners or dependents.

Upon selection, the Rhodes Trust will cover the application fee for studying at the University of Oxford. Additionally, the Trust will also fund the student visa fee and the related International Health Surcharge (IHS), which allows international students to access the UK’s National Health Service. Furthermore, the Rhodes Trust will provide two economy-class flights to and from the UK at the start and end of the studies in Oxford.

Upon arrival in Oxford, Scholars will receive a settling-in allowance. For those transitioning to a second course of study, assistance will again be provided to cover visa renewal fees and additional IHS applications.
